Our Aims

Our aim is to offer our residents the opportunity to enhance their quality of life by providing a safe, manageable and comfortable environment. In addition, support and stimulation are given to help maximize residents’ physical, intellectual, emotional and social capacity.

Food

Each day our chef prepares nutritious and tasty meals planned around the service users likes and dislikes and dietary needs, so please do let us know what your favorite dishes are. Snacks such as fruit, yogurts, sandwiches and iced lollies are available 24/7. Tea, coffee, squash and biscuits are available for all visitors and family members are more than welcome to join us for any meals as long as notice is given.

Additional Services

Hairdressing – We have weekly visits so please feel free to ask for further details. We have a hair salon located on site. If you’d prefer to stay with your own hairdresser that is not a problem they can visit and use the facilities in our salon.

Podiatry – every six weeks we have a podiatrist who comes in to offer appointments for specialised treatments.
Opticians and dental appointments can be arranged for you

Nail care – The staff at Hannngfield are happy to provide you with hand and nail care and manicures whenever possible

Papers – the home has papers delivered daily, though if you would like your own this can be arranged for you.
Full laundry and ironing services are provided for residents.

Our staff are always happy to assist with any other requirements.

Our Approuch to retirement

With a registration of 39 residents, the home provider offers round the clock care with onsite carers being available 24 hours a day, ensuring that an insightful and experienced team are always on hand.

We work alongside a dedicated practice of GP’s and health care assistants who develop a personal interest and understanding of all our residents.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my Family Visit and stay over?
As per the Goverment roadmap, on March 8th visits can resume at Hanningfield.
Each resident will be able to receive visits from ONE named individual. Once decided upon the named individual cannot be changed.
To limit the number of visitors within the home at anyone time you will still need to book your visit. This can be done by calling us on 01795 479587.
On arrival the named invidual will need to carry out a LFD test. Once the results have come back (this takes half an hour) they will be able to meet with their loved one in a designated visiting room.
Visitors will need to wear full PPE during their visit and sanitise there hands regularly.
Visitors will be able to holds hands with their loved one but for the time being hugging and kissing is not advised.
We are very excited here to finally be welcoming back friends and loved ones, it has been too long.
Do you have decent wifi?

Yes, we have recently updated our WiFi’s to now reach every room within the home. We also have access to numerous tablets, of recent make and models, which can be used by our residents at any time with assistance from the carers always available. We can also arrange WhatsApp and zoom meetings so that residents and their loved ones can stay in contact as easily and as regularly as possible.

What are the most popular activities?

We have morning and afternoon activities scheduled each day that takes place in either the lounges or the dining area. We try to encourage as many residents as possible to take part. Any resident that wishes to stay in their room will have carers come round to offer a conversation or a tablet, they can also partake in the ongoing activity in their room. We often have a monthly theme day, where we all get involved with. This has included tropical Hawaiian days, jungle adventures, and countless others. We design our theme days to have the residents involved in every way possible.
